NASA Explorer Schools Project Application
Due to changes in Congressional appropriations to the Office of Education at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, we are unable to fund the selection of new NASA Explorer Schools in 2008. The 2008 appropriations and approved Agency operating plan were finalized in February 2008. Schools that completed an application to participate in the project beginning in 2008 were notified by mail.
NASA as an agency is currently reviewing all efforts aimed at K-12 schools to ensure that we are providing the most effective and beneficial opportunities to our stakeholders. NASA Office of Education maintains its commitment to investing in programs and activities that inspire and engage students, educators, families and communities at large in the excitement and discovery of exploration.
The NES application process for next year has not been released. Please periodically visit this Web site for updates.
